Is this tour suitable for non-drinkers or guests with dietary requirements?

Yes, non-drinkers are very welcome on this tour and will have a great experience. Both the Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery are rich cultural and historical attractions in their own right — the storytelling, the architecture, the brewing and distilling heritage, and the views from the Gravity Bar are all highlights that have nothing to do with alcohol consumption. Non-alcoholic alternatives are available at both venues in place of the included drinks.

For guests with specific dietary requirements or allergies, we recommend contacting us before booking so we can confirm what alternatives are available on the day. Both venues are large, well-staffed attractions and are generally very accommodating.

Please note the following age restrictions, which apply regardless of alcohol consumption:

  • Guests aged 12 and under are not permitted on this tour.
  • Guests aged 13–17 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult and supervised throughout.
  • Under no circumstances are guests under 18 permitted to consume or sample any alcohol during the tour, in full compliance with Irish law.

Where does the tour start, how long does it last, and what should I bring?

The tour begins at the Jameson Bow Street Distillery in the Smithfield Cultural Quarter in central Dublin. The meeting point address is Bow St, Smithfield, Dublin 7, D07 N9HF. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow for a smooth start.

The full experience lasts approximately 4 hours, covering both venues with guided commentary, tastings and time to explore independently.

What to bring and wear:

  • Comfortable walking shoes — the tour involves a fair amount of walking on cobblestones, uneven ground, hills, inclines and stairs.
  • Appropriate clothing for Irish weather — layers and a waterproof jacket are strongly recommended, as the tour operates in all weather conditions.
  • Your booking confirmation — a digital version on your phone is perfectly fine. Please have your booking reference ready to present at the meeting point.

No physical ticket needs to be printed in advance.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

We offer free cancellation and free rescheduling on all bookings made more than 24 hours before your scheduled tour departure time. If your plans change, simply contact us as early as possible and we will rebook you onto another available date at no additional charge.

Cancellations or changes requested less than 24 hours before departure are not possible, and the booking will be treated as non-refundable. This policy exists because our tours operate with a limited number of guests, and last-minute cancellations prevent us from offering the spot to other travellers.

We strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date, particularly during peak travel seasons (June to September) when availability fills quickly. If you are booking for a group, please contact us directly before completing your booking so we can advise on availability and any group-specific arrangements.

Is this tour accessible for guests with reduced mobility or physical limitations?

We want to be transparent about this so that every guest can make an informed decision before booking. This tour is not currently recommended for guests using wheelchairs, motorised scooters or other mobility assistance devices. The tour route includes a significant amount of walking and covers surfaces that can be challenging, including cobblestones, hills, inclines, declines and stairs across both venues.

Strollers and baby carriages cannot be accommodated on this tour.

We also ask that all participants be in good general health. If you have a medical condition or are not accustomed to regular exercise, we recommend consulting your doctor before booking.

If you have specific mobility concerns and are unsure whether this tour is right for you, please contact us before booking — we will always advise honestly based on your situation, and we can explore whether alternative tour options or arrangements may be more suitable.
